"Twenty Year Old Arrested for Meth and Ecstasy"

On September 25th at approximately 5:30 p.m. Tabitha Lareal Johnson (20), of Dahlonega, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Ecstasy. The investigation began when Canine Deputy David Dearman Jr. received information that the vehicle Johnson was occupying possibly contained narcotics. Dearman Jr. and his Canine "Jager" intercepted the vehicle on GA Hwy 400. During the traffic stop plastic baggies containing suspected methamphetamine residue were located. Two children aged two and four were also in Johnson’s vehicle.

Deputy Dearman Jr., investigators from the Narcotics and Burglary Section of the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office, and the Appalachian Drug Task Force conducted a consent search at Johnson’s residence on Lyon Ct. There they located several plastic baggies containing suspected methamphetamine residue, scales, smoking devices with suspected methamphetamine residue, drug packaging material, a marijuana grinder, and approximately $2000 dollars were of new clothing, still tagged, from various stores at North Georgia Premium Outlet Mall in Dawsonville. Johnson was only able to provide a receipt for a small portion of the clothing and the rest is suspected to have been stolen. Further investigation into the origin of the clothing is continuing.
