"Sheriff’s Office and Task Force Arrest Nine in Drug Related Search Warrants"

Acting on information from concerned citizens the Appalachian Drug Task Force and the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into possible drug activity at a home located at 1458 Claude Parks Rd and 74 Norris Rd. Through that investigation they developed probable cause and obtained search warrants for both residences. The search warrants were executed on May 8^th, 2008 and resulted in nine people being charged with drug related offenses.

During the execution of the search warrant at 1458 Claude Parks Rd investigators located marijuana, scales and a marijuana grinder. William Fay Hoshaw (41) and Melissa Jo Hoshaw (41) both of 1458 Claude Parks Rd, were both arrested and charged with one count of possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and one count of selling marijuana.

During the execution of the search warrant at 74 Norris Rd investigators located methamphetamine, marijuana, scales and a firearm. Those charged in connection with 74 Norris Rd are as follows:

Thomas Gordan Fowler (45) – Sale of marijuana, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Dawn Marie Gooch (40) – Possession of methamphetamine and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

Anthony James Bell (20) – Sale of marijuana, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Stacie Danielle Stephens (18) – Possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and obstruction of an officer.

Steven Lee Harris (18) – Possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and obstruction of an officer.

Michelle V. Williams (20)– Possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and obstruction of an officer.

William Walter Harris, Jr. – Possession of less than an ounce of marijuana
